Yesterday Yuvraj Singh hit Chris Broad for six sixes in one over, and did it stun the English? One Andrew Flintoff in particular...
But it set me thinking - can I achieve the same feat? No, I dont intend to go back to cricket. I was a decent player in my school days, and still play infrequently, but thats just about it. I meant on my essays, can I do six in a day? Atleast draft the body, and think about the word limits, grammar & style later. That would be a great achievement for me. And may just help in completing the HBS apps in time for R1.
So while my reviewers are still to get back on my career essay, I have decided to aim for the magic six, and go for the following (in the order I'll attempt) :
I. Columbia # 3 : Entrepreneurial mindset (500 words)
II. Wharton # 2 : Failure / Setback (500 words)
III. Wharton # 4 : Leadership capacity (500 words)
IV. LBS # 5 : Outside home country (150 words)
V. Chicago # 2 : Someone else's shoes (500 words)
VI. LBS # 3 : Leadership experience (500 words)
I also have two backups, in case I get stuck on any of the chosen six. If not, these become to-dos for the coming weekend (yes! we're just a day away!)
VII. Columbia # 4 : Passion (250 words)
VIII. Wharton # 3 : Outsider (500 words)
I've specifically chosen ones that are different from each other (even choice III and VI will be quite dissimilar in the output I think, bc of the study group element in VI). Also, these cover a majority of the HBS topics. If I get these right, HBS may be back in R1
Come on Chris, bowl me a good over!!!
